CORK CARE GUIDE
BECAUSE CORK IS NATURALLY RESISTANT TO DIRT, DUST AND STAINS, YOU'LL FIND YOUR CORK ACCESSORIES VERY EASY TO CARE FOR.
General cork cleaning........
When cleaning is necessary, simply dampen a soft, clean cloth with warm water and a mild liquid detergent. Using a circular motion, gently wipe clean. Wipe away any excess soap. Allow to air dry. Natural, chemical free, baby wipes work well too!
Good news! Unlike most leathers, cork does not need conditioning. It will remain soft and supple throughout the years while naturally developing it’s unique patina. (And that touchable feel!)
And, for those leather parts……..
PROTECTING, CLEANING AND CONDITIONING:
Veg-tanned leather develops a beautiful patina over time but can stain if not protected. Stain resistance, cleaning and conditioning can be achieved with a top-quality leather product. We're a fan of Earth friendly brands like Smith's Leather Balm or Bee Natural Leathercare.
Applying a protective leather product 1-2 times a year will allow your leather to develop its unique patina. However, if you're madly in love with the natural pale beige color, apply it as often as once per month.
